From the Editor...
Sunday before last (June 11) was Trinity Sunday and the beginning of the Trinity season in the Church’s liturgical year. Herein we have several reviews pertaining to the theme.
This issue we are delighted to have contributions from two pastors. Tim Patterson from Grace Assembly in Lynchburg provides us a review of Ministry in the Image of God: The Trinitarian Shape of Christian Service by Stephen Seamands. Virgil Hurt, of Providence Church, also in Lynchburg, gives us a review of a Canon Press title: Eternal Covenant-How the Trinity Reshapes Covenant Theology, by Ralph Smith. We are indebted to both of these men for their contributions.
This month we also have a review written by Chris Grataski, a senior at Liberty University. I think Chris has read almost everything Wendell Berry has published, and he was excited to review one of Berry’s latest, The Way of Ignorance. We are thankful to him for his contribution and his on-going support of Inklings Bookshop.
S.N.D., our scribe, finds the poetry and sermon quotes, contributes reviews, compiles the newsletter, and gets it ready for distribution.
Blessings to all.
Under the mercy,
Ed Hopkins
