From the Editor...

Welcome to the combined August/September issue of the Inklings bookshop newsletter.

In this issue we are very pleased to offer a review of N.T. Wright’s Simply Christian which was kindly contributed by Dr. Darrell Cole, a Lynchburg native and Assistant Professor of Religion at Drew University.

In our C.S. Lewis, Inklings, & Others section, we introduce the Anglican theologian Austin Farrer, a friend of Lewis, Tolkien, and Sayers, and we offer good used copies of three of his books.

We also introduce this month The Christian Life Collection, a recently added collection of books at Inklings Bookshop that deal with core aspects of the Christian life.

The subject of our Passages, Preaching, Poems, and Prayers section is the Transfiguration of Christ, remembered in liturgical churches on this past August 6.

Finally: we want very much to expand the Inklings mailing list. If you find this newsletter of value, please recommend it to others and forward their email address to us if they are interested. Thank you for your help.
